THE perfFECTTM SOLUTION

The patented perfFECTTM system removes fluorinated materials from fire fighting foam by processing and then extracting the fluorinated molecule onto an activated carbon matrix. The saturated carbon is then safely disposed of by high temperature incineration. In many instances, the removal of proteins from the foam presents the greatest challenge of all. Proteins and other materials such as polymers and glygols will blind the activated carbon, and seriously reducing its efficiency. The pre-process of the perfFECTTM system extracts any proteins or other matter present, prior to the activated carbon stage.

Once passed through the perfFECTTM system, the remaining clean water is safe to discharge to the water system or as water replacement in industrial applications.

Fire Extinguishers – IBC Exchange Service
We will supply Fire Service Engineers with a specially adapted 1,000 litre IBC. The use of a small amount of biodegradable anti-foaming agent, 'Foamcleans D Foam', will enable the engineer to effectively and efficiently discharge his clients’ extinguishers into the IBC. When it is full, we will exchange it for an empty IBC to maintain the service and we will remove the full IBC to process its contents through the perfFECTTM system.

We also provide the appropriate documentation to confirm that your waste foam has been treated and cleaned through the perfFECTTM system.

For organisations with large volumes of extinguisher foam to be dealt with in-house, we provide the above IBC supply and exchange service direct.

Tanker Service
For system testing and training and also as part of post fire recovery procedure, we arrange tanker collection of the spent foam. This can be from a bunded area at a training ground or from a localised containment area at a fire scene.

On-site system installation
As part of the post incident recovery plan, some organisations prefer to have a perfFECTTM system installed on their own premises. We will install, commission and maintain the system and also train client’s staff in its use. We will also provide the necessary compliance documentation if required.
